2015 | opaline glass, poplar wood, iroko | mold–blowing, cutting, polishing, grinding, inlay | 4×25×82cm (tray), 6×11×11cm (bowls)
The wooden tray with glass bowls was created as a personal gift for my family. At its center is a stylised family tree representing three generations – my grandparents, parents, and children. The distance between branches is carefully calculated rather than random or symmetrical: each branch corresponds to one family member and their year of birth, while the gaps reflect the age differences within the family. At the end of each branch rests a glass bowl. The tray is designed for serving fruit or dessert during family gatherings, symbolically connecting the act of sharing food with the bonds between generations.
