Nami

2024 | glass | casting, cutting, polishing | 5×8×12cm

Nami (“Wave”) emerged entirely by chance while I was working on Hanami No.2. Experimenting with a new type of glass, I created two forms that I could never reproduce again.

This unexpected outcome reflects one of the essential aspects of my practice: embracing chance as a co-creator. The flowing shapes recall the movement of a wave, capturing a moment that cannot be repeated, only remembered.
