Together, Yet Apart

Together, Yet Apart is a glass sculpture created during my first stay in Japan.
The artwork explores the duality of closeness and distance: while we share the same human emotions, language and culture often keep us apart. Its form — two halves that appear whole only when reflected — embodies this paradox. Installed on mirrored or reflective surfaces, the sculpture becomes complete. By inviting the viewer to touch and interact with the piece, I aim to challenge the convention of glass as untouchable and fragile, and instead highlight its potential as a medium of communication.
