Tsubaki is a pair of lidded vessels inspired by the blossoms of the camellia.
Each lid is held by a single petal-shaped element whose form gradually changes, inviting new associations. The two bowls contrast yet complement one another, forming an inseparable pair. Both are filled with glass, topped with a deep lens into which the lid is set. Inside, a small hidden space is reserved for something precious. The lids, silky and semi-transparent, obscure the contents so that the object within remains mysterious until revealed.
